Description

Maldives’ begun life with a very different concept to this finished product. Intended as an exploration into the combination of resin and texture, ‘Maldives’ saw various iterations before artistic intuition took over and was completed with an entirely different, highly effective, aesthetic. A sense of depth is achieved with detail dispersed over multiple layers of clear resin, enabling the viewer to feel as if they could dive right into the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Maldives is 120cm x 100cm, consisting of a stunning palette – various shimmering turquoise hues, pearl white and Bennys signature gold, all beautifully sealed under multiple layers of resin, enhancing its depth significantly, while also providing a stunning glass-like gloss finish.
