Low Tide

Description

Low Tide is the first look at ‘abstract realism’ from Benny Archer. Based on a fleeting look at a photo many years ago, Benny set out to create the rippling dunes of the Kimberleys meeting the stunning, deep turquoise of the Indian Ocean. Benny achieved this goal with the utilisation of both acrylic and resin media, ensuring the lower half of the piece viewed like real water — wet and shimmering in different light. This piece is 150cm x 150cm, consisting of many different oxide-based reds, a variety of different turquoise and copper acrylic under resin.
